The class had a lecture this morning on panoramic photography where we all got told how to set up the equipment the best way, what setting, showed different photographers who had made their own versions, and other fun facts, tips, and means for going about doing this style of combining a collection of images together as one whole image. The sight of humans eyes perceive A.K.A binocular vision goes up to approximately 114 degrees where on the other hand panoramic can do up to 360 degrees.
panoramic photographs can be done in either short spaces or massive landscapes and is pretty easy for you to do it well just takes the right equipment, simple maths and patience. First you must set the tripod to the height to wish, place a camera on top then put it in a portrait not landscape check all three levels are straight. Have to use a standard lens for avoiding any distortion and start scanning the panoramic left to right overlap by 30% or 50%.
This is my panoramic it is somewhere around 180 degrees, I did it with the person I paired up with Jake we set up at the biggest roundabout near to the city centre. There are some distorted parts within the image one or two cars are cut half down, can see if you zoom in but it was my first time doing a panoramic and we had to get both done in time so I could get back to the palace court because I needed to crack on with the curriculum for not just this also two other artist evaluations I have to finish.
